Key Man Life Insurance, or should I say Key Person Life Insurance?
Whether you use the old phrase or the new more politically correct, they are the same thing.
A Key Employee or a Key Owner is usually the driving force behind a successful company or a division within that company. The likeliness of the business' failure is high if this person were to die or become disabled.
Another factor in considering Key Person insurance is credit. In the event that a key person was gone, how many co-dependent businesses will likely continue to place orders with the deceased or disabled's company? How many banks will be willing to make loans if the Key/driving force of the business is gone?
